Toppen frystorkad käk

Har en del frystorkad mycket bra mat i lager, Du tillsätter endast varmt vatten och efter ett par minuter har du en perfekt måltid. Åt det dagligen på en slädtur på Norra Grönland under en lång tur.
Flera militära förband bland andra också  Svenska Armén har detta i sina 24 timmars  proviant rationer.

Some Moose are clever.

Today I was driving through Glaskogen Nature Reservation. There was some Moose hunter along the road near Kalleboda more or less in the wolf area. Nothing only hunters was seen. When I left the area some kilometers later there was two Moose on a field, one large Moose cow and a mighty bull. It´s nice to see those big ones in the nature.

"På tredje dagen uppstod den döde" . Tack Telia att ni kopplat rätt, Jag byter bild och gör tummen upp. ( i går var det ett annat finger som visades men jag avstod från bilden)Frågan är om man helt skall gå över till mobiltelefoner, då har man ju telefonen på sig ständigt och det fungerar för det mesta.

Moose hunting is ower

The Moose hunting at Risviken is over. We got 8 moose’s in 4 days and has still 4 on the license and I think the Team will arrange a hunting weekend later this year. Photo is from the morning call before hunting start at sunrise.

70 år sedan

Today 15th of October exact 70 years ago 1943 I left Denmark in a very small fishing boat for Sweden. My family has to escape from Denmark to Sweden. Some in my family was involved I the Resistance Army and an Aunt, my father’s sister was married to a Jewish man and all of us in my family was at risk to be taken to Germany and concentration camp, so my parents left Denmark with me. We came to Barsebäck late evening Friday 15th of October at 2300 o´clock and was transported to Kävlinge in the night by local Red Cross and local Home Guard. I was eleven years old but I can remember everything as it was to day. Started going in school in Falköping until the month of May 1945 when I returned to Denmark for a few years. Back 1947 in Sweden and Skövde and join the Swedish Army 1950 as voluntary soldier and that ended 1955 when I became Officer and left the Army. After that full time with outdoor life, canoeing, mountain guide, ski instructor and a lot of different activities in the outdoor business. Started with my wife The Nordmarken Canoe Center 1956 and we are still in business, but the extreme adventures are not so often anymore. I will say thank you to Sweden for taking care of me the last 70 years as a citizens and I hope that I have paid back all what I got in friendship and understanding from the Swedish people. Waiting for winter

Now the canoe season is almost finish we are waiting for winter to come. We have had a few nights with minus but soon colder weather will come in from the North. Talking about north, I have good memories from a dog sledge tour in northwest Greenland years ago in the Qaanaaq district with Inuit from the local settlement a place I really want to go back to.

Titta noga så ser man!

Gjorde en eftermiddagstur genom två vargrika områden i Nordmarken. Inga älgar eller vargar syntes till denna gång. Inte ens spår i väggruset. Så är det bara, ibland har man tur och ser, men oftast ingenting alls. Men strax söder Koppom fick vi på avstånd se en flock Dovhjortar och strax efter en fin Hjort bara några meter från vägen. Det gäller att vara snabb för att ta bild innan den visar baken, men på några få sekunder är den fina hjorten borta och på bilden ser man bara just baken, när den försvann in i de täta buskarna. Men ganska fina horn hade den.

Twelve days from today 2/10 we start the moose hunting season in Nordmarken. South in the area there are good deal of moose´s, but north of the Main Road E 18 , in the wolf area there are almost none to be seen. Some of our canoe guests have seen moose this year and I have taken some to a moose drive late afternoon and have seen moose´s on every tour.
