Now we start the season 2020.

Tomorrow 25 June the Canoe Guides from Travel Base will arrive. First we do have a concentrated canoe guide training in 2 days so the staffs learn how it works in the DANO canoe area. They will also go on a longer canoe tour to see and plan for the guests who arrive in the beginning of July. It’s very good service to guests that Travel agency like Travel Base put in a great afford to really see, so the guests, have a good know how about paddling and how to behave in Nature. This season will be a bit different doe to Covid-1 9 Pandemic. We have to work in very small groups. The last week and for some more days the weather will be extremely warm and hot and danger of forest fire is very high. We will ban all type of open fire to our guests, but do hope that there will be some rain. I have been a canoe outfitter since 1956 but I can’t remember any season with a heat like to day the 24th of June and to that the Covid-19 problem and closed borders between different countries. We are happy for our guest and us self that we can start a good and safe program at Nordmarken Kanot Center this season. In a few weeks there will come internationals guest for canoeing in Nordmarken. It´s a Business to Business program with us and a Travel Agency. All kind of prevention concerning Covid-19 are taken from us and our partner. There will be 5-6 canoe guides the whole summer stationary at the camps. Before the guest arrive the staff have to run through a canoe course with 2 full days of training and then 4 days out in the DANO canoe area to learn and see hove it looks like and to get to know the area. Man kan under om flaskan är ½ full eller ½ tom? För min del har den senaste tiden, mest gått åt till att bekräfta alla avbokningar från utländska gäster. Bokningarna har varit ½ tomma eller ½ fulla och ständigt ett ändrande, framskjutning, ny dato och en massa annat. Men så i dag 17 juli, kom det så en bokning från en tidigare gäst från Danmark. Vill komma med 6 personer under en vecka och paddla i DANO området med start ganska snart. Bra att folk får upp ögonen att just friluftsliv i skog och på vatten ger dessa, just den ensamhet som myndigheterna förordar.
