If it is to be it´s up to me !!

About 60 years ago I start paddling as a hobby. From 1956 i’s my only profession as a canoe- and wilderness outfitter in Nordmarken Sweden. In the old days on tour, if we run into bad weather or heavy wind, we just went to shore and stay put until the weather conditions was Ok to continue our tour. In the old days, we had to think and plan ahead for the coming days, and carefully plan the coming tour on days to come in the wilderness and on the lakes. The nature was the one who gave us the rules for the future time. In the old days, there was no WI-FI, no GPS navigation, no Mobil, no telephone in house on the road we could call from. No Tracker to use in emergency. In the old days, we had to solve the problem when it happened, there was nobody to call for help if the wind was to strong, or some of our equipment was wet. We called it personnel responsibility and had to act the best we could to be safe and not sorry. Even if we forgot something before start we hv to deal with it. In the new days on tour, if there is a problem, just call someone on the Mobil ask and for help and try to find someone who has made the mistake that you are in trouble and you can blame for it. In the new days, you can blame the canoe outfitter, the tourist office, Government, the one who give weather information or someone you can find near you who will listen to you Bulls…. Or maybe call EU commission to look into you problem you have and can’t solve yourself since all have a Mobil phone you can use. The Mobil Security, or?
