It start now,

Different things are happening now. First snow and Ice is gone in the Nordmarken Canoe area. Second, we have got the final injection against Covid-19and are fit to serve our guests 100 %. A third thing that happens is that people are starting make reservation for the canoe season.

Number four can be that we now got reservation from Sweden, Germany, Denmark and the Nederland’s and with our Corona policy, that we don’t ask for deposit this year, people can make reservation and if the border will be closed there will be no problem to cancel the reservation.

I think we see the light in the end of the tunnel now after several month of isolation at the Base Camp in Risviken.

81 years ago.

Today the 9th of April its 81 years ago that I as a young boy woke up early in the morning when German Airplane flow over our house in Brönshöj, Denmark. I remember this epiesode as it was today. Denmark was occupied of the German Army. Now it´s almost OK with this, but still wound in my memories, but I can live with it now.

Finaly we got it.

 

To inform our Swedish and International guests we have now got the second vaccine against     Covid-19 to day 8^th of April 2021. It means that we in about a week can see guests at Nordmarken Kanot Center in an almost safe way.  Our season start the first of May and we already have some guests to come for canoeing and fishing in Nordmarken. This year we don’t ask for deposit if there will be regulation not to travel to Sweden. We don’t have to return money to our customers. This is our policy so you can make reservation without any risk.

Our Wilderness house Bockudden is free until 10^th of July and after 28/8 except for the periods 22/5-29/5 and 10/6-13/6.

Concerning canoes we do have free canoes right now for the whole season, but some weeks are booked almost full. So you can make a safe reservation without any problem.

Glad Påsk

Vi önskar alla vänner, familjer, kunder, grannar och samarbetspartner en riktig fin och säker Påsk. Tiden där vi åter kan träffas närmar sig så sakta, även om det tar ännu en tid. Vi ser fram mot en riktig fin och säker Vår 2021. 

Nu våras det.

Det verkar som om våren är kommen till Nordmarken. Har i flera dagar hört tranor flyga förbi, så det blev en bilresa till Gillbergadalen. Som vanligt under våren mellanlandar många gäss och tranor på väg norrut.

Såg ganska många men tyvärr på långa avstånd. Det är verkligen värt att köra från Värmlands Nysäter och upp till Sulvik. Bra och fin väg och nästan inte trafik. Bra att se på djur nu när vi inte får träffa manniskor.

Short tour around Risviken

 

Today I have been around The Canoe Center for a short tour with our car. Lots of geese of different kind have arrived the last days. Nice to see that spring is coming slowly to Nordmarken.  Very soon we can start canoeing  again. Canoeing is a life style and in early spring you can both see and hear lot of wild animals and birds. That’s quality in 'lifestyle and we really need it right now.

I think winter is gone

 

This year the winter was very short only a few days with snow and on the lake Västra Silen was frozen for a couple of days. Now we are waiting the ice to go away where we put in the canoes and  it will be very soon.
