The last four days I have been around the lake system in
Nordmarken to check some of the approved campsites. There is a large project to
check around 130 places and some friends and rangers are taking care of some
others camp sites.
We study damages to the wooden shelters, toilets, environment
around the camps, the firewood situation. In the end of November there is a meeting
where the situation will be brought up to date and effort to make the canoe
area better for next season.
I´m sorry to say that some of our canoe guests are not
behave very well, there is a lot of damage to trees, shelters, fireplaces. We only found very little garbage and that’s
very nice that most of the canoers are taking the garbage back to Base Camp or
to the places at the locks between the different lakes and put the garbage in
the containers there.
